Are you looking for a prenatal vitamin but completely overwhelmed by all the choices? Totally understandable! I love the FullWell Prenatal Supplement. It has everything I look for in a prenatal supplement.
The bioavailable form of Folate – NOT Folic Acid!
I love the Fullwell Prenatal supplement because it has the bioavailable form of folate. Folate is important for a healthy pregnancy. It helps your baby develop their nervous system, like brain, spine, and nerves. Folate is the natural version of vitamin B9. When you take folate, it is converted into 5-MTHF before it enters your bloodstream.
The FullWell Prenatal supplement does NOT have folic acid. Folic acid is the synthetic version of Vitamin B9. When you take folic acid, not all the B9 is converted to 5-MTHF before it hits the bloodstream. Your body has to break down the folic acid in your liver and other tissues. It can take multiple days for you to metabolize folic acid into 5-MTHF, even in small amounts. Unmetabolized folic acid may have some health risks, such as increased cancer risk. Yikes!
I love how FullWell really prioritizes pregnant women’s health by choosing the best form of folate for their prenatal supplement. It’s the reason I used it in my pregnancy!
A Good Source of Choline
Choline is vital for your baby’s brain health. But 90% of expectant mothers don’t consume the recommended amount of choline and most prenatal vitamins don’t include choline! Choline can be found in meat, egg yoke, fish, and nuts. Choline is so important that a Cornell University study found that children whose mothers took double the daily recommended amount of choline had better processing and attention, even while they were infants.
FullWell’s Prenatal supplement includes choline – unlike most prenatals. It is definitely a vital nutrient you don’t want to miss out on during your pregnancy.
Vitamin D
FullWell’s prenatal supplement has 4,000 IUs of Vitamin D. This level of supplementation is safe for pregnant women and ensures that pregnant women, regardless of climate, have enough Vitamin D. Some studies show that mothers that have adequate Vitamin D levels during pregnancy have children with less enamel defects and it might even help prevent ADHD and autism. Wow!
Where’s the Iron??
FullWell’s Prenatal supplement doesn’t have iron in it! That’s because not everyone needs extra iron in their prenatal. If you need an iron supplement, they have an Iron Bump Supplement for you!
